Civilian - French Press w Co-Founder Alan
Watch as Alan walks us through the French Press method—a brew that’s as effortless as it is shareable.
MÉTODO
FRENCH PRESS
The French Press is a brewing classic—bold, simple, and designed for full-bodied extraction. Unlike pour-over methods that rely on paper filters, the French Press retains natural oils and fine coffee particles, giving the cup a richer texture and deeper mouthfeel. It’s the ideal method for bigger-bodied coffees, like Civilian, where chocolatey depth and structured sweetness shine.
This is the blend co-founder and green buyer Alan Morales spent over a year crafting, dialing in the right coffees to create a balanced, comforting cafecito that feels like home. Watch as Alan walks us through the French Press method—a brew that’s as effortless as it is shareable.
We love the Fellow Clara French Press for its heat retention and ultra-fine mesh filter, which minimizes grit while keeping the coffee’s natural richness intact. Plus, it’s designed for easy pouring and serving, making it perfect for slow mornings, big tables, and brewing for the crew.
