ORGANIC HOUJICHA
Houjicha is made from select green tea leaves and stems, gently roasted to open up warmth, depth and softness.
Like our Ceremonial Grade matcha, the leaves of the Kagoshima tea, grow by the coast in volcanic mineral rich soil. Roasting the green leaves before milling lowers caffeine levels and vastly transforms the profiles’ innately bright herbaceous notes into a comforting toasty, nutty, sweet beverage.
For tea drinkers who value balance and warmth.

Our ceremonial matcha is sourced directly from Kagoshima, Japan, a region shaped by volcanic soil, ocean air, and generations of quiet craft. In speaking with our partners there, the connection felt familiar. Like Oaxaca, agriculture here is ritual of flavor built slowly, with patience and care.
We work closely with producers who believe quality doesn’t need to be loud, just honest.

How to Prepare
You’ll need:
• Houjicha powder
• Hot water
• Bowl or wide cup
• Whisk (chasen) or small frother
How to:
- Add 1- 2 teaspoon (2g-4g) of matcha to your bowl
- Pour in 2–3 oz of hot water (160–175°F)
- Whisk briskly in a W or M motion until smooth and lightly foamy
- Sip as is or mix with milk
