Every year the Cup of Excellence opens the opportunity for farmers to submit coffees for unbiased and stringent evaluations that seek out the world's highest-quality coffees through this premier coffee competition. The program's mission is to create transparency from seed to cup and allow farmers to benefit from the premiums of their submissions. Since the foundation of COE, farmers have explored various farming and processing methods that have propelled coffees to new heights of quality and excellence, creating financially motivating returns to producers.

Dush Lemiso Uke, coffee producer and father of three, decided to submit this micro lot of coffee for the very first time. His coffee placed #14 in the world, scoring 88.3 points in the COE scale.

When we tasted his coffee, we were floored by the complexity. We tasted a tropical flavor bomb of lively notes like stone fruit, sweet black tea, Meyer lemon, pink grapefruit, dark chocolate, and intensely fragrant florals on the finish.

We encourage you to experiment with this dynamic and elegant coffee in various brew methods.
